Vero published a great article on their blog back in August 2018 titled “Security Tips for Tradies’ Tools and Equipment”. Theft of tools and equipment was a common occurrence at the time, and unfortunately, it still is.

So, what can you do to help keep your tools safe?

Ensure your tools are easy to identify. Engrave them or use data dot markings.

Keep a record of any serial numbers, keep your receipts, and take photos of your tools and equipment.

Keep your items secure when they are on site.

Do you keep your tools in your vehicle? Think about where you park and whether you can keep your tools in a locked box inside your vehicle.
